American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) AAFCS provides leadership and support for professionals whose work assists individuals, families, and communities in making informed decisions about their well being, relationships, and resources to achieve optimal quality of life.
Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), FACS Education Division The Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) Education Division helps to promote and enhance FACS education throughout the United States and cooperates with other Divisions to advance the purposes of ACTE®.
Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) Board on Human Sciences (BoHS) BoHS advances the intellectual integrity, stature and centrality of the Human Sciences in member institutions, the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) and beyond.
Can Manufacturers Institute The Can Manufacturers Institute serves as the voice of the metal can making industry, providing a forum for members to advocate common industry positions to legislative and regulatory agencies whose activities impact the metal can market, to address issues of common concern, and to promote cost-effectively the benefits of the can to protect and grow the market.
Council of Administrators of Family and Consumer Sciences (CAFCS) CAFCS strengthens family and consumer sciences and related units in higher education through the development of excellence in administration. The organization seeks to achieve this mission by focusing on leadership development.
Family & Consumer Sciences Education Association (FCSEA) FCSEA works to improve the quality of FCS instruction in our nation's classrooms.
International Federation for Home Economics (IFHE)-US

IFHE-US offers international networking opportunities for FCS/HE professionals from all areas of expertise.

The IFHE-US Development Fund has established a large endowment and has dispersed grant funds to many projects to improve home economics programming in developing countries.

National Association of State Administrators of Family & Consumer Sciences (NASAFACS) The National Association of State Administrators for Family and Consumer Sciences Education (NASAFACS), an affiliate of the ACTE FACS Division, represents state administrators for family and consumer sciences and those with an interest in supporting family and consumer sciences education.
National Association of Teacher Educators for Family and Consumer Sciences (NATEFACS) NATEFACS, an affiliate of the ACTE FACS Division, is a national organization of teacher educators whose purpose is to improve and strengthen teacher education in family and consumer sciences.
National Association of Teachers of Family & Consumer Sciences (NATFACS) The National Association Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences, a non-profit organization, is an affiliate of the Family and Consumer Sciences Division of the Association of Career and Technical Education. NATFACS serves as a vital link between the state family and consumer sciences associations and the national level.
National Coalition for Black Development in Family & Consumer Sciences

Contributes to the AAFCS Body of Knowledge through teaching, outreach and service. Promotes the presence and leadership of Coalition members in AAFCS and other related professional organizations.

National Coalition for Family & Consumer Sciences Education The National Coalition provides a unified voice on legislative and policy issues related to Family and Consumer Sciences Education.
National Extension Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (NEAFCS) The National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (NEAFCS) educates and recognizes Extension professionals who impact the quality of life for individuals, families and communities.
Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB) SNEB promotes effective nutrition education and healthy behavior through research, policy and practice.

Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) FCCLA promotes personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

The Peanut Institute The Peanut Institute is a non-profit organization that supports nutrition research and develops educational programs to encourage healthful lifestyles that include peanuts and peanut products.
Seafood Nutrition Partnership Seafood Nutrition Partnership is a 501(c)3 whose mission is to inspire a healthier America through partnerships that raise awareness about the essential nutritional benefits of eating seafood.
Seed Life Skills

Seed Life Skills is a research-based, living curriculum grown from the vision of food education advocate and dedicated father Chef Hugh Acheson.

We are a collaborative effort between culinary, university, and industry professionals, school administrators, parents, teachers, movers and makers dedicated to preparing our next generation of dreamers, doers, and leaders.

Fresh FACS

Family and Consumer Sciences is as relevant today as it was when it was first introduced into the American school curriculum as Home Economics over a century ago. Its core content areas of food preparation, nutrition, children and family, textiles and apparel, interior design and consumer economics have never been more important than in today's society.
