Centennial Virtual Hall of Fame
Recognize or honor someone who has influenced your life as a home economics/family and consumer sciences professional. To induct your colleague or mentor into the Virtual Hall of Fame, use AAFCS's online form to make a contribution: https://secure1.podi.com/aafcs/donations.cfm. Your donation will benefit the Centennial Challenge Campaign. After you have made your contribution to AAFCS, you will receive a link to the Ball State University website to provide the information about the person you are honoring.
Your honoree will be listed in the Virtual Hall of Fame though 2010 and a copy of the posting will be kept at the AAFCS Archives at Cornell University. You will receive notification of your honoree’s installation into the Centennial Virtual Hall of Fame. If you have recognized a living person, that person will receive a certificate.

Second Century of Helping - A Family & Consumer Sciences Service Project
FCS professionals are devoted to improving the lives of individuals, families, and communities. As AAFCS enters the second hundred years of discovering, sharing, and applying new ideas for improving lives, we tracked one year of volunteering in the life of our profession (June 2008 - June 2009). At the close of the project, 18,668 hours, worth an estimated $378,027, were recorded on the "Second Century of Helping" website.
The winners of the community service project were Linda Marchand, Top Individual; Kansas Affliate, Top Affliate (total hours); South Dakota, Top Affliate (per capita); Community of Partners in Home & Community, Top Community
(total hours); and Community of Partners in Home & Community, Top Community
(per capita).
