Renewing Certification

Important Certification Renewal Information!

  • Certification Announcement:

Implementation of new technology at AAFCS headquarters will make it possible for CFCS professionals to both pay their certification renewal fees and report PDUs online this year. Please Click Here
  • for more information. The certification renewal notices have been mailed out with a due date of October 1st. Thanks to each CFCS professional for sharing our excitement about these new services and for understanding that this year's schedule adjustment is a good trade-off for the new technology benefits.

  • Those who meet the eligibility criteria and have requested a change to the "Retired" category for their CFCS credential are no longer required to report PDUs to maintain their certification.

  • For those whose 3-year certification cycle ends this year and who have not previously reported a total of 75 PDUs for this 3-year cycle, PDU Reporting Forms, showing the remainder of the required PDUs, are also due postmarked or submitted electronically by the due date. A reporting form will be included with the renewal notice; the form and helpful information can be accessed at the links below:

  • CFCS professionals are asked to submit a hard copy PDU report only once during the 3-year cycle; this can be at any point when there are a total of 75 PDUs to report. PDUs can be reported online incrementally at your convenience.
