Participants in the AAFCS 99th Annual Conference will be able to:

  1. Assess the impact of technological advancements on human development, lifestyle, and socialization.
  2. Investigate today's technology as it relates to apparel/textiles, housing/environment, and food/nutrition.
  3. Evaluate the effectiveness of innovative technologies in promoting financial literacy and security among teens and adults.
  4. Define mentorship/leadership in a world of "high tech, low touch."
  5. Examine the ethical side of research and development of various technologies and their impact on public policy.
  6. Analyze and propose recommendations for addressing issues in the educational environment resulting from the use of personal technology devices.
  7. Interpret the major accomplishments of AHEA/AAFCS, which have created a rich 100-year history.
