In this engaging presentation, Dr. Gentile will discuss the truth that TV doesn't want you to know—that the media are far more powerful than you thought. Both the positive and negative effects of the media on children and adolescents will be described, with the discussion touching on topics such as children's brain development, advertising, school readiness, video games, and media violence.
