Educational Objectives
Participants in the AAFCS 100th Annual Conference will be able to:
- Build on the reputation earned and knowledge gained over the 100-year history of AAFCS to help AAFCS sustain its future.
- Examine sustainability at the individual, family, organizational, and community levels.
- Incorporate knowledge gained about sustainability into programming that promotes alternatives to excessive consumption.
- Analyze how decisions and behaviors affect natural resources, esthetic qualities, social diversity, and economic development.
- Investigate the influence of human and social capital on current and future generations from a national and global perspective.
- Assess the current roles of family and consumer sciences professionals and recommend changes for a sustainable future.
