Jeanne Hogarth Dr. Jeanne M. Hogarth
Manager, Consumer Education and Research Section of the Division of Consumer and Community Affairs, Federal Reserve Board

Prior to joining the Federal Reserve Board in 1995, Dr. Jeanne Hogarth had worked as a high school teacher, Extension faculty member at the University of Illinois, and consumer economics faculty member at Cornell University. At the Federal Reserve Board, Dr. Hogarth is responsible for research and outreach initiatives related to consumer financial services. Her recent projects include initiatives on consumers’ use of banking services, consumer protection strategies, the effectiveness of financial education efforts, and consumer testing for comprehension and usability of disclosure notices. An award-winning researcher and author on financial management, Dr. Hogarth handles the Board’s consumer information materials on financial services, both on the web and in print.

An active member of the American Council on Consumer Interests and the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE), Dr. Hogarth has received the AFCPE Mary Ellen Edmondson Educator Award and was named a Mentor and a Distinguished Fellow by the American Council on Consumer Interests. For the 2009-10 academic year, she was named the Helen LeBaron Hilton Chair at Iowa State University, a visiting professor position with a focus of financial education.

Dr. Hogarth volunteers in the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and serves on the editorial boards of the Federal Reserve Bulletin, Family & Consumer Sciences Research Journal, Journal of Consumer Affairs, and Journal of Consumer Policies. She has been a featured speaker at international conferences in Russia, Austria, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Canada, Indonesia, and France. Dr. Hogarth earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Bowling Green State University and a master’s and doctorate degree in family and consumer economics from The Ohio State University.

Bob MohelnitzkyMr. Robert Mohelnitzky, LCSW
President, CEO, Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin

In his seventh year as president and CEO of Feeding America of Southern Wisconsin, Mr. Mohelnitzky is also the vice president of the Mental Health Center of Dane County, Inc. and associate instructor at the Wisconsin Graduate School of Social Work. His past experience includes 22 years as executive director of the Mental Health Center of Dane County, Inc., five years as president of Sunburst Youth Homes, Inc., founder and partner of Info Nation Systems, Inc., and 31 years as an Army Reserve officer (LTC).

A Rotarian since 1988, Mohelnitzky has always been a very active member of his community.  He serves on the Dane County Hunger Prevention Council and Mental Health Center of Dane County Board.  In 2009, Mohelnitzky was named one of Madison’s "BIG THINKERS" by Madison Magazine.  He received his bachelor’s degree in economics and master’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Renowned doctor, speaker, and author Dr. Michael Roizen is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Williams College and Alpha Omega Alpha graduate of the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine. He is well-known as the cofounder of RealAge.com and cofounder and chair of the RealAge, Inc. Scientific Advisory Board. While his calendar years may be 64, his RealAge is only 44.6!

A past chair of a Food and Drug Administration advisory committee and a former editor for six medical journals, Dr. Roizen has published more than 165 peer-reviewed scientific papers, 100 textbook chapters, 30 editorials, and four medical books (one, a medical best-seller), and received 14 U.S. and numerous foreign patents. He has also written or contributed to many New York Times best-selling and award-winning books, including RealAge: Are You as Young as You Can Be?, The RealAge Diet: Make Yourself Younger with What You Eat, YOU: The Owner’s Manual (written with HealthCorps founder Dr. Mehmet Oz), YOU: The Smart Patient, YOU: Staying Young, YOU: Being Beautiful, and YOU: Having a Baby.

Dr. Roizen has given over 1,400 lectures to professional medical groups and has been recognized with over 20 professional lectureships. He has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Dr. Oz Show, The Today Show, 20/20, CNN, and Good Morning America, to name a few, and has had five PBS fundraising specials. Drs. Roizen and Oz write a daily newspaper column syndicated to 71 newspapers and host an hour of Oprah radio daily. Dr. Roizen also has a two-hour, 26-station Terrestrial show entitled, YOU: The Owner’s Manual Radio Show, live every Saturday.
