A. Fashion & Food (Full Day, $80, 5 PDUs)
Visit the Kent State University Museum, home to a lovely collection of historic and contemporary costumes, as well as collectable glass and other decorative arts. Enjoy a gourmet lunch during a visit to Loretta Paganini’s International Culinary Institute. After lunch, visit one of Northeast Ohio’s outstanding fashion schools at Ursuline College. Dr. Constance Korosec, an expert on beaded clothing and accessories, will share her expertise and show off “razzle-dazzle” long- and short-beaded gowns from the historic costume collection, featuring over 3,500 pieces of 20th century American apparel and accessories. Two of Dr. Korosec’s signed books will be given as door prizes.

B. Spend the Day in Amish Country (Full Day, $80, 6 PDUs)
Board the bus for a trip to another culture less than an hour from downtown Cleveland. The day-long trip will include a visit to an Amish home, where you will learn about 21st century Amish life. You’ll see a furniture and quilt shop, the Middlefield Original Cheese Co-op, an Amish schoolhouse, and Ridgeview Farm. Lunch at Emma’s will be like a typical Amish wedding feast.

TOUR CLOSED - C. Culinary Vegetable Institute (Full Day, $95, 4.5 PDUs)
Visit this facility with the mission “to grow vegetables slowly and gently in full accord with nature.” ® The Chef’s Garden has dedicated itself to “working in concert with outstanding chefs all over America.” Learn about the institute and tour its beautiful facility and grounds. Hear about Veggie University, a program that promotes the well-being of children through a healthy lifestyle, and enjoy lunch prepared by the Institute’s chef. After lunch, visit historic Milan, Ohio, birthplace of Thomas Edison.

TOUR CLOSED - D. Home of the Future (Half-Day, Afternoon, $65, 2 PDUs)
Visit the House on Third Street, an extremely energy efficient and extremely healthy home located in Sandusky, Ohio. The home was built by Mark Norman and Sue Daugherty as a grassroots response to the escalating cost of energy. The home showcases conservation building design and technology that can dramatically reduce the cost of energy and at the same time dramatically improve the health of the home’s environment. In addition to being energy efficient, the home won’t support mold, bacteria, and flames or off gas. No wood is used in the structure and it is earthquake, wind, and bullet proof. Enjoy lunch and shopping at Sawmill Creek Resort on scenic Lake Erie with your colleagues before visiting the house.

TOUR CLOSED - E. Ohio Wine Country (Full Day, $80, 5 PDUs)
Explore the beauty, history, and tastes of Ashtabula County. We will travel country roads to visit covered bridges, including the longest covered bridge in the country and the Smolen Gulf Bridge, an architectural wonder.
