Call for Undergraduate Student Research Abstracts: 2021 Annual Conference

The Assembly of Higher Education (AHE) announces a call for undergraduate research abstracts for poster presentation at the 2021 Annual Conference.

The undergraduate research and/or course project may focus on:

  • Advocacy & collaboration
  • Leadership & association engagement
  • Educational tools & resources
  • Research & scholarship, and
  • Trends & innovation
  • Culinary arts, hospitality, and tourism;
  • Education and training;
  • Food science and nutrition;
  • Health management and wellness;
  • Housing and interior design;
  • Human/child development and family relations;
  • Personal and family finance; and
  • Textiles, apparel, and retailing

 The application should include the following information:

  • Title of Student Research/Project
  • Name of Student (include member number if an AAFCS member)
  • Name and Title of Research/Project Advisor(s)
  • Institution
  • Preferred Mailing Address
  • Email Addresses of All Authors
  • Office and/or Cell Phone Numbers of All Authors
  • Abstract of Research/Project (1-2 page maximum) with the following:
    • Purpose
    • Objectives or Hypotheses
    • Methods
    • Results and Discussion (if available at time of submission)
    • Summary or Conclusions (if available at time of submission)

 
Submission:  
Send the abstract of the student’s research/project by March 31, 2021 to
LaPorchia C. Davis, PhD, Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, Morgan State University
Laporchia.davis@morgan.edu

Acceptance and Notification:  
Corresponding/First Authors will be notified of the status of their submission by April 15. If the submission is accepted, specifications and instructions for the poster presentation will be provided.  The authors must register for the conference to present the work.
