These deaths have occurred during all months of the year, and in all but three states in the U.S.  Twenty-five percent  have occurred in employer parking lots while the parent or caregiver was at work. Alexandria, Va. – May 27, 2020  –  By a unanimous  vote on May 20, 2020, the AAFCS Board of Directors passed a Disaster and Pandemic Relief Policy that will provide support to AAFCS members and certified professionals who have suffered a substantial loss of income due to a pandemic like the nation is facing with Covid-19.
