Ready, Set, Design! Join the FCS Week T-Shirt Contest

One of the most exciting parts of FCS Week is our first T-Shirt Design Contest, where creativity meets community celebration. This year, we’re inviting YOU—students, educators, members, and supporters—to help us design the official 2025 FCS Week t-shirt!

Not only is this a fun way to show off your artistic talents, but it’s also a meaningful opportunity to highlight what Family & Consumer Sciences means to you. Whether you’re inspired by nutrition, design, wellness, financial literacy, leadership, or the power of FCS as a whole, your design can help share that story with others.

Why Participate?

This contest is more than just creating a shirt—it's a chance to:

• Showcase your vision for the future of FCS

• Promote awareness and pride during FCS Week

• Engage your classroom, chapter, or affiliate in a fun activity

• See YOUR artwork worn by supporters across the country

• Earn bragging rights as the 2025 official FCS Week T-Shirt Designer!

Educators can even turn this into a class project or warm-up activity during the week.

How to Join the Contest

Getting involved is easy! Here’s how to submit your design:

1. Download the Ellen T-Shirt Template HERE
   This printable outline pays tribute to Ellen Swallow Richards, the founder of the home economics movement. Feel free to be traditional, bold, modern, whimsical—whatever fits your FCS story.

2. Create Your Design
   Use digital tools or sketch by hand—any medium works! Just make sure your final design is clear, original, and reflects the purpose of FCS.

3. Email Your Submission HERE
   Attach your completed design and include your name, school/affiliate (if applicable), and a short description of what inspired your artwork.

Contest Timeline & Voting Details

Here’s what to expect:

• Submission Deadline: Tuesday, December 2
  Make sure to send in your design by the end of the day!

• Voting Opens: Wednesday, December 3
  All finalized designs will be posted online for the community to vote. Encourage your networks to support your design!

• Winner Announced: Friday, December 5
  The winning design will be revealed on the final day of FCS Week—Future-Ready Friday!

The winning artist will receive special recognition and their design will be featured across AAFCS communications.
