Call for Educational Sessions

AAFCS is now accepting proposals to speak at Educational Sessions during the 2024 Annual Conference. FCS professionals of all ages, experience levels, content areas, and practice settings are encouraged to share their programs, ideas, relevant research, and best practice strategies with fellow FCS professionals and students.    

This Call for Proposals is open to both AAFCS Members and non-members.  The educational sessions are unpaid speaking opportunities.  Please download this Call for Proposals for the best information and instructions. 

Educational sessions are 45 minutes in length and provide professional development focused on the 2024 Annual Conference Educational Objectives.  Proposals are sought for all practice settings and content areas.  Proposals will be submitted under one of the following conference strands:  

  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access.
  • Educational Tools, Resources, and Strategies.
  • Leadership, Advocacy, and Collaboration.
  • Research and Scholarship.
  • Trends and Technology.

PROPOSAL REVIEW RUBRIC

The proposals will undergo blind, peer review.  Click here to download the scoring rubric that will be used by the peer reviewers.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • October 25th, 11:59 PM ET deadline for proposal submissions. Click here to submit a proposal!
  • November 1 - 27th: Blind peer-review process.
  • December 15th: Notifications will be sent to selected speakers.
