About the Session: Many people today are seeking a financial “cookbook”; i.e., simple, effective, and realistic strategies to improve their personal finances. This webinar will explore several self-assessments and quizzes to evaluate one’s financial fitness. The presenter will discuss 20 financial fitness improvement strategies based on the quiz questions and research findings derived from quiz data analyses.
After the webinar, attendees will be able to:
- Better understand strengths and weaknesses of their individual financial situation.
- Incorporate webinar content into their personal financial planning and/or financial education.

About the Presenter: Dr. Barbara O’Neill is Extension Specialist in Financial Resource Management and Distinguished Professor for Rutgers Cooperative Extension. She has written over 1,800 newspaper articles and over 150 articles for professional publications and is the author or co-author of eight books. She also provides national leadership for the Cooperative Extension program Small Steps to Health and Wealth™. She holds the following professional credentials: CFCS, CPFFE, CFP, CRPC, AFC, CHC, and CFEd. Dr. O’Neill earned a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech and has received over three dozen national awards and over $985,000 in grants to support her financial education programs and research.
