AAFCS Board of Directors Election Process

The call for AAFCS Board of Directors nominations will be released on October 1, 2025 and close on October 31.

After which, nominees will be asked to complete an application and provide a resume, a 300 word leadership statement, and two letters of reference. All applications are due on December 1.

If selected for an interview, applicants will interview at 10 AM or 6:30 PM EST December 17-19 and January 5-9. Scheduling will take place on a first-come, first-served basis.

Nominees complete and submit applications (application will be sent to nominees as they are received) 

December 3, 2025 Applications sent to the Nominating Committee for review and scoring
December 10, 2025 Due Date - Committee members submit their reviews to Karin 
December 15, 2025 Applicants are notified and interviews are scheduled

December 17-29, 2025
January 5-9, 2026

Interviews with Committee Members
January 14, 2026 Candidates selected for ballot will be notified 
January 19, 2026 Ballot distributed to the Leadership Council
January 30, 2026 Election closes at 5:00 PM ET
February 2, 2026 Election result announced
