American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) and iCEV Partner to Help Learners Prepare for Industry-Recognized Credentials
New iCEV certification alignments—multimedia lessons featuring slide decks, video instruction, and hands-on activities and projects—focus on the domains evaluated within the AAFCS credentials.
The American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) and iCEV, a leading producer of Career & Technical Education (CTE) curriculum, industry certification preparation and testing, and data management, have partnered to help learners prepare for industry-recognized AAFCS credentials. Through this partnership, iCEV will provide certification alignments featuring dynamic instructional materials for credentials within the national Pre-Professional Assessment and Certification (Pre-PAC) program offered by AAFCS and the FCS Credentialing Center.

The Pre-PAC portfolio of standards-based assessments and industry-recognized credentials covers content areas such as Leadership Essentials; Nutrition, Food, and Wellness; Food Science Fundamentals; and more. These credentialing assessments are all designed to help satisfy the growing emphasis on assessment and accountability in secondary and postsecondary education, including requirements for Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V) funding for Career and Technical Education. They also address the emphasis on credentials as a human resource and quality control tool in employment settings.
