FCSfit Wellness Wednesday:  'Cause Givin' is Good for You

May is National Foster Care Month, a time to acknowledge foster parents, family members, volunteers, mentors, policymakers, child welfare professionals, and other members of the community who help children and youth in foster care find permanent homes and connections.

This is an opportune time to announce the 2019 Student Unit (SU) Service Project, which will take place onsite in St. Louis next month during the 110th Annual Conference & Expo

The annual Service Project's mission is to help a nonprofit that is based in the conference host city make an even greater impact. This year, the chosen organization is Angels' Arms Outreach, which is dedicated to providing and supporting loving homes for foster children by keeping brothers and sisters together within a nurturing family until a forever home is found. Since 2000, Angels’ Arms has changed the lives of  more than 540 children by providing them with a loving home and allowing them to thrive in a happy, functional family setting.

In June, conference-goers are invited to donate one or more of these suitcase-friendly items from Angels' Arms needs list:

-Deodorant (men's, women's, and teens)
-Feminine products
-Soap
-Bubble Bath
-Pull-ups in sizes 4 and up

The donations will be collected during the #AC2019 Expo on June 25th at 10 am. We hope we can count on your support!
