Registration includes:
The 2021 Virtual Conference starts June 15th with a pre-conference, Addressing Critical Issues - A FCS Compass for the Future, followed by three days of General Sessions, educational programming, virtual poster session viewings, awards ceremonies*, food demo, AAFCS business and communities events and Closing Session. Your registration includes on-demand access to the recordings through June 18, 2022.

*If you are fully registered for the Virtual Conference, the Awards of Excellence Package is already included in your registration. The Guest Awards of Excellence Package is for guest access only.

UPDATE!  All fully registered attendees will receive the conference playbook (links to all sessions) no later than June 14th.


Minnesota Educational Experiences (4)
Since we could not host the 2021 Annual Conference in Minnesota as originally planned, we are bringing Minnesota to you! With the hospitality of the MN Annual Conference Local Advisory Committee, who coordinated 4 virtual tours with local venues, they are offering a package of $80 for these Educational Experiences - you won't even need to leave your home to be part of these events every day of conference!

Who should participate in the Virtual Conference?

Our live event online conference is open to AAFCS members and non-members and anyone with an interest in people-centered sciences. This include professionals and students in education and training, food science and nutrition, health management and wellness, housing and interior design, human/child development and family relations, personal and family finance, textiles, apparel and retailing and culinary arts, hospitality and tourism.

What are the dates of the Virtual Conference?

On June 15th, from 3 PM to 6:30 PM EDT (Eastern Daylight Time), you will have the opportunity to participate in a pre-conference. The conference will continue from June 16 to 18th. Click here for the schedule.

What time does the conference start?

The pre-conference on June 15th starts at 3 PM EDT. Convert to your local time here.
The main conference, June 16-18, starts at 10:00 AM EDT. Convert to your local time here.

How much is registration for the Virtual Conference?

The member registration rate is $150, the non-member registration rate is $175, and the student registration is $25 (students may qualify for reimbursement courtesy of the Myrna Crabtree Fund).

Where do I register?

Click on the Register here! at the top of the screen or click here to register. Registrations by phone are not accepted; please log in to the MyAAFCS account to register and pay for the virtual conference.

What happens after I register?

After you click on CONTINUE throughout the registration screens in your MyAAFCS account, click on CONFIRM ORDER to complete your registration. When you are registered, you will immediately receive the confirmation email showing your invoice. A copy of your registration will also be in your MyAAFCS account.

I would like to pay the registration of my colleague(s); how do I proceed?

After they register online in their own MyAAFCS account (payment option: Pay By Check), they can forward you their confirmation email which has the link and Invoice # and Customer ID to pay by PO/ check/ credit card.

Will I have access to the recordings?

Nearly all of the conference sessions will be recorded. You will receive details after the conference on how to access the recordings in the conference library in your MyAAFCS account. The details will be posted on this website at the end of the Virtual Conference, so you can view all sessions at your convenience through June 18. 2022.

Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept check, credit card, and purchase order (PO). If you are paying separately from your registration at a later date, please select Pay By Check and follow the prompts. Unpaid conference fees must be paid before attending future AAFCS events/conferences. The deadline is at the bottom of this page. We encourage you begin the necessary steps with your employer or school district so your registration is complete and paid by the deadline.

Log in to your MyAAFCS account to register. Upon check out, click on Pay By Check. Your invoice will be generated. To access it at any time when you are logged in to your MyAAFCS account, click on Pay Open Invoices.

PAY INVOICE ONLINE WITHOUT LOGGING IN TO MYAAFCS?

You can pay your own invoice or your colleague's invoice without logging in to MyAAFCS here. 
Click here to pay invoice online (you will need the Invoice Number and Customer ID from your confirmation email).

- PAYING BY PURCHASE ORDER?

Log in to your MyAAFCS account to register. Upon check out, click on Pay By Check (even if you do not have a Purchase Order #). Your invoice will be generated and located under Pay Open Invoices. To access it at any time when you are logged in to your MyAAFCS account, click on Pay Open Invoices. If you're a vendor and need a W-9, you may download it here.

How do I cancel my registration? Will I receive a refund?
Cancellations must be received by annualconf2@aafcs.org prior to June 11, 2021 to receive a conference refund (less a $25 processing fee per registration). After, June 11th, there are no registration refunds, but you can transfer your registration to another attendee at no charge. Student registrations will not be refunded. All refunds will be processed after June 30, 2021.
