After an extensive and rigorous national search, the AAFCS Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Nancy Bock has accepted the position of Executive Director, effective March 1, 2021.

The Board made the final decision based on Nancy’s extensive association management and leadership experience along with her family and consumer sciences work for the Department of Agriculture; Cooperative Extension Service; Family, Career and Community Leaders of America; and in the non-profit arena. Nancy brings additional experience from her 18- year career with American Cleaning Institute, where she served on the Executive Team and as the first female Senior Vice President.

As noted in the announcement for this position, Nancy will work in partnership with the Board of Directors to reimagine the future of the association in realizing its vision and strategic goals.

Her warmth, practical approach to problem solving and passion for our association have earned her the respect of the Board, members, staff colleagues, and partners. She is a visionary, dynamic, and innovative individual. The Board is confident that Nancy’s many talents in results-driven strategic planning, collaborative and engaging leadership, effective communications, and financial management will create the right conditions for the future success of AAFCS.

Nancy brings years of experience and FCS background to the position of Executive Director.  Nancy earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Home Economics Education at West Virginia University.  She has been well-known in the FCS community for many years through her work in multiple practice settings. Nancy’s decision in high school to Say Yes to FCS has inspired and fueled a passion for the profession throughout her career. This same passion will now be focused on advancing the Association and its mission.
