The American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) announces that the 2027 AAFCS Annual Conference will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from June 10–13, 2027, with preconference sessions taking place June 9–10, 2027.
The 2027 AAFCS Annual Conference will bring together industry, researchers, consumer groups, Family and Consumer Sciences professionals and students, and more for an engaging and inspiring experience focused on advancing our field and our work to support individuals, families, and communities.
“AAFCS last held our annual conference in Pennsylvania in 1985 and in Pittsburgh, PA in 1938. Our return to the Keystone State ensures that our members who dedicate their time and resources to support individuals, families, and communities in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions can showcase their work and bring visibility to the Family and Consumer Sciences programs in those areas. The AAFCS Board and staff are looking forward to working with our hosting Affiliate to ensure the event is a resounding success.” Stated Karin Athanas, AAFCS Executive Director.
