Farmhouse Education Center at Stone Acres Farm in Stonington, CT.
Yellow Farmhouse Education Center is a non-profit organization located on the property of Stone Acres Farm in Stonington, CT and is led by Jennifer Rothman. Jennifer has over twenty years of experience building programs for museums, gardens and farms. Sheuses culinary and farm-based education to build meaningful connections to our environment and to our community. Jennifer will help us explores how we can integrate locally grown food into our curriculum and support learning across disciplines.
Specialized Breakout Sessions: perfect for focusing on areas you are most interested in learning more about and networking with teachers across the state who share your interests. Presenters include Suzanne Loud from the Connecticut Dept. of Ed on Pathway Programs, Heifer International, King Arthur Flour, Jennifer Rothman on sustainable farming and food to table, Tech for FCS, “Say Yes to FCS” Action Team, and afternoon collaboration initiatives.
