ESAE Curriculum Showcase — Empowering Educators, Elevating Practice

The ESAE Curriculum Showcase provides a vibrant platform for Family & Consumer Sciences educators to share high-quality lesson plans, units, assessments, and instructional resources. More than an event, the Showcase is a celebration of the creativity, dedication, and innovation happening in classrooms every day.

Through this Showcase we aim to:

• Highlight successful instructional practices that are making a difference for students
• Support collaboration and spark connection among educators across the country
• Offer inspiration for both new and veteran teachers
• Keep teachers current with emerging trends, evolving needs, and best practices in Family and Consumer Sciences
• Empower educators to bring fresh, effective ideas back to their classrooms

AAFCS and ESAE will collect participant’s 8.5x11 submission for inclusion on a "Wall of Excellence.” Your submission can include links, instructions, photographs, stories, and more. You may print up to 4 pages (8.5x11) to bring with you on June 19 - Showcase set up is from 9am-5pm.

AAFCS Annual Conference - Louisville, KY - June 18-21

Showcase set-up: June 19 - 10am-5pm
Showcase open: June 20 - 7:30am - 5pm
     Presentations will be held on June 20 12-1:30pm
Showcase open: June 21 - 7:30-12pm
Showcase clean-up: June 21 - 1-4pm

Together, we can empower one another and continue strengthening the future of FCS education.

• Optimal Size: 32–48 point font.
• Minimum Size: 13–16 point font (for smaller text, though not ideal for quick reading).
• Spacing: Use 1 inch of letter height for every 10 feet of distance, meaning a 5-foot distance requires letters to be at least ½ inch tall.
• Font Style: Use clean, simple, and sans-serif fonts like Arial, Helvetica, or Verdana for maximum readability.
