Our Purpose

The mission of the Community of Lifelong Professionals (CLP) is to encourage professionals to continue making contributions to families and communities after retirement. All AAFCS members are welcome, but the Community especially encourages all Life and Emeritus members who have made Family & Consumer Sciences a lifelong profession to join like members in our annual activities at the AAFCS Annual Conferences and other AAFCS & Affiliate sponsored events where we will provide opportunities to network with friends, colleagues and future professionals.

Betsy Norum Student Stipend

The $500 Betsy Norum Student Stipend is given to a college junior majoring in FCS, is a member of AAFCS, and has not attended an AAFCS Annual Conference. This award is supported solely by donations by AAFCS members and others. Help us to continue this award by making a donation.
