VIRTUAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WEBINAR: Diversity Matters: Reviewing the Past to Move Forward

The topic of diversity is very timely given recent events in our country. Family and Consumer Science professionals in their work are likely to face situations where being informed about Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)  would be helpful to them and their constituents. With so many falsehoods being spread and so much divisiveness, it is hard to be self-reflective and to distinguish fact from emotion and unfounded opinion. We cannot understand the present until we know about how we got where we are and where we should be in the future. People judge when they do not understand. FCS professionals should be advocates for the deepest meaning of our mission.
